About Me....  Experience/Education

I graduated from Sacramento State in 1972 with a BA in Business Administration/Marketing. My first career position was with the Pacific Telephone Company, with has now morphed into AT&T, where I worked for over 30 years in primarily sales positions. My assignments were in Walnut Creek, Oakland, San Francisco, and in 1982 I moved back to Sacramento. I obtained my MBA from Golden Gate University in 1995, and my real estate license in 1997. I retired from AT&T in 2007 to join Leigh in real estate. In 2010 I earned my Broker's designation. I continue to take courses and seminars to develop the skills to represent my clients in the most professional way.

Outside Activities

I feel giving back to the community is important for those that are able as instilled in me when I became an Eagle Scout. I am an active member of the Rotary Club of Arden Arcade, am on the Board of the Run to Feed the Hungry (benefiting the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services), Leigh and I are Volunteer Stewards of Mile 13 of the American River Parkway and I have donated over 20 gallons of blood over the years.

As Leigh says, our focus is on exceptional service to our clients, but results matter. I have been a member of the Masters Club since the year I became a full time Realtor. This club consists of typically the top 4-5% of the Realtors in our Association.

Hobbies - Family Fun

I started running in 1986 as a way to enhance my training for a bicycle ride down down the California coast. The running soon took over and I ran my first marathon in 1987. Since then I have run 55+ marathons all over the world, including 24 times at our local California International Marathon. I have also run 86+ Ultramarathons (distances over 26.2 miles) including the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run four times, of which I am very proud. You will find me running on our American River Parkway (  ,and on the trails around Auburn (

Leigh and I like to travel and do so whenever we get the chance. We are also active in our local Porsche 356 Club ( and drive our car and go to car shows whenever we can.

We have two daughters, Melanie who is married and lives in the Boston area, and Dayna who will move to Australia to earn her graduate degree in 2011.
